With the exception of Ernie Sheldon(no offense, Ernie, wherever you are), the Limeliters have had some OUTSTANDING tenors(I'm not familiar with their current lineup). Yarbrough, Red Grammer, Rick Dougherty, and Mack Bailey are top of the heap.
One name that seldom gets mentioned in the realm of vocally gifted singers from the folk era is Nick Woods of The New Christy Minstrels. I think he could have made a solo career for himself in the 70's had he not succumbed to a drug overdose. Really a great voice, and I believe he did quite a bit of arranging as well.
