In the case of this S.S. Stewart of mine, the neck is not only bowed back, creating a significant hump in the middle of the neck, but's also twisted out of plane. Now I only have one opinion that it's beyond repair, but I do trust that opinion. And even if it could be repaired, it would probably be a fairly expensive process. Since Josh and I now own the banjo of my dreams (our Deering "Vega" #2) I'm not inclined to sink a lot of dough into repairing the Stewart.
