I turn to his music now to find out what I missed when he was with us. And, man - I missed a lot. It puts me in mind of my own mortality and that of the people who are close to me. Sometimes we don't know what we missed 'til it's gone. Today is a day to celebrate the people in my life and pay attention to what I've been missing. I guess that's one thing that death does for us - it gives us true perspective.
By the way, Mickey - I missed you at my JS Tribute show last week. I wanted to say "hi". So I'll say it now - "Hi". And thanks again for passing along Tom's account of John's memorial service.
