Posted by Bob Haworth Not yet written, but rolling around my brain is a parody of the '60's song, "What's Your Name?". We've had several issues of illegal immigrants being arrested here and it's subsequently found that they have as many as 16 aliases. My song starts out: WHAT'S YOUR NAME? IS IT PEDRO OR JOSE? WHAT'S YOUR NAME? IS IT SOMETHING ELSE TODAY? Yeah, I hear it coming - "racist!" NO!!! It's about law and order and why these guys are here in the first place, many with multiple offenses. More to come on that one. Another one I'm working on is a parody of the old Irish tune, "Who Threw The Overalls In Mrs. Murphy's Chowder." The teacher who complained about me at The Atlanta Bread Company is Scott Murphy, so the song starts out: "What's going on down in Mr. Murphy's classroom..." Coming soon.

I'm working on the album song by song. I actually have two more written that I haven't recorded yet. I wish I afford studio costs - no can do at this point. (I lost my gig at The Atlanta Bread Company!) But thanks to the generosity of a very special friend, I'm working on setting up a home studio. Hopefully I'll be able to record my stuff right here at home before long. I sang one of my new ones, "Open Borders", on Steve's show today. I've also got one based on the Grateful Dead's "Truckin'" that addresses the Mexican trucking "pilot program".
