This level of the business was new to me, and I was fascinated to be able to watch and listen as the Brothers created their sound. Of course over the years I recorded many albums with the group myself, mostly for the CBS-Sony label in Japan. But I'll never forget the excitement and anticipation I felt while attending those San Fransisco sessions.

I came into the group at the tail end of the Fantasy era. I was doing a solo gig at the St. Fransis hotel in San Fransisco when the Bros. were in the Fantasy studios there working on that last album. I was privileged to sit in on some of the sessions, but this was just before I joined the group. Mark Pearson was on those albums and I was actually studying his parts to get up to speed for upcoming shows.
