Over the years I have had the privilege to work in the East in local and network radio - markets such as Washington DC, New York and in my later years, returning to my adopted home town of Atlanta, GA. Several years ago my prominence put me in a lucky place -- hosting a concert that featured the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and my favorite group from my teenage years. It was on that night I met Bob Haworth and became a huge fan of this man's artistry. I have e-mailed and talked to Bob and Meri over the past few years and I can not tell you how great these people are. I reflect on this special day in my life and I am thankful for so many things. But near the very top of my list I am thankful for these two very special people. All of you who post on this board share the very same feelings - I am not alone. I know all of us wish to say thank you Bob and thank you Meri for being very special lights in an often dark and dim world. I recall the line in that great Christmas movie "It's A Wonderful Life." The character played by Jimmy Stewart found in the end that he had so many true friends - real friends. His brother toasted him for that, calling him "the richest man in town!" To Bob and Meri, my toast - to the richest couple in the world!! And to borrow an old Irish phrase -- may God bless both of you and keep you in the palm of His Hand. Mike Kavanagh
