Posted by Mark J. Meli It's nice to see Bobby out there and working hard and keeping busy with the music biz. He could have just walked away, but it's nice to see him "keepin' on," like he states here. It's also great that he has Mr. Batti along with him on the trip too. Anything that has a KT family relation will draw more folks to the party. Don't forget Bob, there's plenty of talent there to draw on still - it's been awhile since we've heard Ben Schubert, Tom Green and Carey Black too!! And ask John Stewart what happened to his old buddy Chuck McDermott...we loved that guy. Hey, if former Beach Boy Al Jardine can head out on his own with a "sons and daughters" band and make a go of it, than any combination Bobby can come up with should be just fine. It looks like he's off to a great start. So, get that show on the road and let's see you in Rochester NY!!

Watching Bob's career from here on out should be pretty interesting to us fans. Mr. H is the first former KT'er in many a year to be faced with this situation (sadly), but it's nice to see him try and make something worthy of the situation. The only past member of the Kingston Trio to really make the successful solo flight is John Stewart! Nick Reynolds has stayed away from the spotlight on his own. Dave Guard arrived solo on the scene far too late and he, Roger Gambill and Pat Horine have gone on and left us. As for Jim Connor, I believe he still plays, but more in of a religious ministry enviroment. As for George Grove - he's the banner carrier for the Kingston Trio. It's his job to bring the music of the Trio out to the people. It's hard to tell if he'll do another solo project outside of the group. Truth is...he probably won't have the time.
