Re: Can't Please Everybody
It just seems like everytime I make an appearance on Crossroads I get blasted about something. This latest thing just baffled me - I suppose you can read what I wrote in several different ways, but my intent was to point out that, like the previous posters, even Bob Shane had no clue as to who Ken Ramsey was. Apparently the words I chose to express that were misinterpreted by Mr. Shane's cheerleaders, and I got chastised. That's a problem with written word as opposed to spoken. You miss a lot - it's often one dimensional and subject to various interpretations. When you speak to someone there's body language, inflection and also the opportunity for immediate clarification. And written word lasts longer - it's there in black and white for people to mull over and develop and opinion about. When you speak - it's over and done, unless it's recorded somehow. But hey - like Ron says - you can't please everybody. Ultimately, I guess I feel more comfortable sticking to my own message board, tho. It's mine and I can speak my mind here with the knowledge that I have the right to the final say. So there! Misinterpret that!
