BEHAVIOUR BELOW THE EXPECTED STANDARD
Posted by Jacky Kingsley on 10/2/2007, 5:01 am 81.6.236.X|
Hi I have been researching a few men who according to other POWs were arrested after the war for various acts of treason. Only a few (mostly those who broadcast or joined enemy forces) had the details of their crimes reported. The rest, it appears to me the majority, were tried and sentenced secretly. From reading ex POws stories I have several names of the 'secret traitors'. BEVAN, 'STRANGLER' EVANS, HITCHENS, PHILPOTTS all from Sham Shui Po Camp and MAJOR TUGBY. Can anyone tell me more about these men or add to my list of names. MAJOR BOON, JOHN HARVEY, HERBERT GIBBS and KANOE INOUYE (The Kamloops Kid) were reported and I have an outline at least of their crimes and punishment. I have been in touch with Tony Banham. Thank you Jacky Kingsley
