We did the Lake Eyre trip.
Got only one flat, fixed it there with the tubeless repair kit. Too easy. I ran with road pressures, Coopers ATRs, and it was rough on the Lake Eyre track, and seeing as I got only flat, whereas others were getting more, I think I was right. I think I got the flat when I did a U turn and ran over the edge of the track.
I could have run maybe 28 psi in the rear, instead of 38 psi, would have been a bit more comfortable. The Lake Eyre track is the very worst "road" surface I have ever been on. After viewing a video of us in slow motion going over some corrugations, I wouldn't like to go any lower than 28 psi. I think it would risk tyre damage between the corrugations and wheel rim.
There were bits of assorted car debris littering the track, from window glass, to complete headlights, to whole bumper bars, and more.
The LSE has an impact sensor that was set off all the time on the track. There was no point trying to reset it until we stopped. Apart from the one flat and the alarm, we had no other problems.
Some photos.
