Two of the major complaints about this forum were
    1) No archive -
This hasn't totally been 'fixed' but at least now the posts don't drop off for nearly 2 years (1,000 posts). I personally have an archive that goes back to '92; and
    2) Spam -
I haven't had to delete any spam now since I activated the 'image identification spam control measure'. When it does happen I delete the message and ban the sender's IP address.

This is still one of the easiest sites to navigate, uncluttered and 'just the basics'. Questions and down to earth answers and information. It's regular contributors are some of the most knowledgeable people on (mainly Classic) RRs.

Other forums have their 'expertise' and are part of 'our' community but for 'classics' you can't beat this forum (just my opinion).

Going back some time, we have (or had) Alan Loveard, Patrick M, Trav (Aquarangie), Ned, Ron (P38arover), Bill E, Kevin C, Peter R, Keith D, Greg, Sneezy, Bradtot, Hamish, Daniel, Donr, Craig E, Alex H, Michael Harris, Murph, Paul Snee, George et al. That is just some (and I stress - some) of the 'regulars' going back to the start of my involvement at the beginning of '92. Admittedly, most dealt with the 'classic' model.

There are things I'd like to add such as spell check of posts by contributors, increase number of posts retained (to max 55,000), and have no ads (although this isn't a problem for me as there is only the one anyway.

Note that most other forums have financial benefactors who are willing to 'subsidise' the members/users who frequent their sites. However, this forum does not have such a philanthropist involved - would be nice though.

    Any 'constructive' suggestions most welcome.

    Be good!!
