Is it a liner or something else? '95 LSE 3.9. 240,000 Km New cam and lifters 20,000 Kms ago. No tap tap noise when just started and cold, but very loud tap tap noise when hot and idling. Putting a liter of Moreys in the oil had no affect at all. I can make a recording of the tap tap and post a link here next time it is hot and doing the tap tap. Ned
