Installed a new fuel pump same as VP holden 2 weeks ago, after which idle has been rough, idle revs are right down, top end power is down i.e. used to cruise at 100Kph at just over 2000 revs now same revs produce about 70Kph. I have checked modified pump elect connections were as original (Checked rotation and that pump was pumping before installing. Can smell petrol fumes when I exit the vehicle,seems like it could be running rich. I have replaced seal to where pump goes into tank, so no leaks at that point. Any clues .. anyone?? Thanks in advance for any help.
