On my 1984 RR broke the univeral jiont on the front tail shaft last night, so removed the front tail shaft and engaged the diff lock and drove home very slowly and smoothly. So need to ask around locally for the plate which has the universal that bolts to the diff. Any one else broke one of these. If so do you know why it broke. My RR had a bit of a clunk sometimes as we started off and that may have tied up with this, but this lasted 2 and a half years without a problem. I always thought this clunk was in the rear diff. This 1984 RR is the one we are trying to sell for just $2500--.
