- How to boost the performance of a 1989 RR

Hi All
I have a 1989 RR with the 3.5L V8.
I would value your opinion on the most cost effective!! way of increasing the performance of the beast.
Ways of boosting the performance that I have considered so far are:
1. Supercharging / turbocharging
2. Increased capacity (3.9, 4.6, 5.0)
3. Engine change (5L / 5.7L Holden)
Does anyone have any advise / experience on the above?
