G`day Jhonno ,
when i was looking for the cause i replaced the rotor with a new one supplied by a L/R parts supplier , it was not a lucas but had the L/R numbers on the package .
It lasted about 2 minutes before it started missing as in i started it shut the bonnet and backed half way out the drive .
I put the old one back in and it ran fine , that one which is not a lucas but an aftermarket has been in there a bit more than 10 yrs , i`ve since fitted a lucas that i had hidden away .
I did suspect the computer/timer/saftey switch thing originaly , that was the reason i jumped a wire to the fuel line solenoid .
I`m fairly sure now that the problem is in the fuel flow from the tanks or through the valve they both use in the main line .
As i said it`s more common for it to happen on a warm day sort of when there is less cloud cover not alway a hot day and as none of the electrics would be affected but the lpg could be is one reason i suspect the actual fuel supply .
Thanks for your thoughts
Peter
