THANKS BRAD.I was told that all ecu for flappers were the same.If i was to put the other ecu in that i borrowed it would work perfectly. If i have dry solder joints on connections or plug why isnt it affecting the ecu that works.my email is m_ibarker100@yahoo.com.au.A COPY WOULD BE FANTASTIC. THANKS

: Yes there are different ones but was
: the pn on the other ecu the same as
: yours?
: There are different tune resistors and
: different airflow meters. The Rover v8
: saloon car is where it all started but
: from memory the rangie ecu were all the
: same for this country, america got
: extra stuff for polution and closed
: loop systems.
: I have a file on how to test the ecu
: and the airflow meter for flapper units
: I can email it if u email me your
: address. It is in pdf and is large so
: let me know if u can accept it.
: It goes into great detail of voltages
: and switches and what should be what
: when testing.
: You probably have dry solder joints on
: the ecu connection/plug and also on the
: 2 main drive txistors on the main
: board, a reflow with a soldering iron
: will probably fix. I have done this to
: a few over the years
