There are different tune resistors and different airflow meters. The Rover v8 saloon car is where it all started but from memory the rangie ecu were all the same for this country, america got extra stuff for polution and closed loop systems.
I have a file on how to test the ecu and the airflow meter for flapper units I can email it if u email me your address. It is in pdf and is large so let me know if u can accept it.
It goes into great detail of voltages and switches and what should be what when testing.
You probably have dry solder joints on the ecu connection/plug and also on the 2 main drive txistors on the main board, a reflow with a soldering iron will probably fix. I have done this to a few over the years
