Posted by peter r I`ve fitted new plug leads that have failed from new have also fitted new rotor arms that have failed from new . Each time it took some head scratching because i think we all presume that new stuff will work because that`s the point of using it . With out knowing your gas system i`d suggest if it was working ok before the work was done that looking at the new parts would be relevant . I`d also suggest in the dark of night you lift the bonnet with it running , run both fuels and see how many sparks you can see with LPG that aren`t there with petrol . It can also promote seeing any spark leakage by spraying a very small quantity and very fine mist of water on the ignition leads etc . Lpg requires more pressure from the ignition than petrol to run an engine so if it`s running ok on petrol and not on LPG , I`d suspect the new parts . More info on how and when it runs rough may give more ideas . Cheers . --Previous Message--![]()

G`day Peat
: I had the distributer reconditioned about
: three weeks ago. About 800km of travel
: later the Range Rover runs really rough
: on gas but is fine on petrol. Have new
: plugs and leads but it makes no
: difference. The weird thing is that the
: rough running seems to come and go. I
: have had it back to mechanic 3 times
: but problem seems to re appear 10
: minutes after leaving the mechanic.
