I'd say it's because other forums have moved on over the last few years to newer - more featured forum software. I don't mean this as negative critism... but the Pop up ads here I do find annoying... I don't find AULRO hard to navigate at all.. and I doubt many net savvy users do.. I find the information I want there - and not here. That is why it's been a long time since I've been here... and I suspect it's the honest answer to your question..
