    stalling...

    Gidday guys,

My carbie 83 3.5 has just started to do something weirdish. In the mornings when I get to work, the car just dies as I pull up to the boomgate. It's about a 13km drive to work at 3.30am. Car is warm but not hot. Choke off by then. It's ok in the arvo and when it's hot.

What are the symptoms of a diaphram failure or one on the way out? Would it run better when hot or ordinary all the time?

Was thinking of changing the carb to the cold setting although I have never had to do this in 8 yrs so think this would be not necessary.

Aircleaners are not old. Haven't done any dusty or off road stuff for ages. Went to Sydney 3-4 weeks ago and was getting an average of 14lts per 100km at 105-110km/h. Fuel filter isn't that old either.

Any thoughts happily received before I start to get my hands dirty.

    regards,
    sneezy
