We actually considered not posting the context of the song on the website, because we wanted the song to mean whatever it meant to each person individually. Although it was written for a very specific character and situation, it seems to have a universality, and many people respond to it in different ways. Please feel free to adopt your own context, whether you are performing it or listening to it. Best- Jeff
