Posted by JB on 1/9/2002, 10:08 pm Here's some background info about "I Won't Mind" that you and your students may find useful. Lizzie is wife to William Franklin, who is Benjamin Franklin's son. After years of desperately wanting a child and not being able to conceive, she has learned that she will never bear a child. She sings the song to her godson (her best friends' newborn) in the nursery, while everyone else is in the next room celebrating his christening. As for THE OTHER FRANKLIN, it has been abandoned, never having been completed. After working on it for a while, we realized that there were problems which would perpetually remain unsolvable. Thanks for asking about the availability of other music. Right now, "I Won't Mind" is the only song of mine which is in print, however I hope that will not be for long. Best- Jeff
