It DOES sound hopeful to me! Have those sores settled down? Did Tres try the yogurt? pleasepleasepleaseplease....tres has to be ok...

First of all - thank you from the bottom of my heart for your care and concern. I know you know, but this means the absolute world to me to have friends to whom I can turn.
Ok - well, Tres is better - YAY! She has gained 4 oz which the doctor likes.
Bad news - Tres' red blood cell count continues to drop. I have a shot which I'm supposed to give her 2x weekly. I also came home with an IV drip for fluids and electrolytes which I'm also supposed to administer 2X weekly. This is in case she's not drinking enough water.
She doesn't like the yogurt nor the moist renal diet food - she does tolerate the renal dry.
This being said - the doctor thinks her kidneys are in such shape that she can't be guaranteed a long life.
We still have a long row to hoe - I'll not give up and with your help, Tres will live a good and comfortable life.

and a suggestion, as well - chlorophyll builds red blood cells in humans rather quickly. Cats can have kelp and other green foods so find out if they can have chlorophyll!!! Also, B Vitamins and probiotics are required to complete the process to making and maintaining healthy red blood cells. Liquid B's taste pretty bad so perhaps you could open up a capsule and add it to the chlorophyll, with the probiotics and syringe it into her mouth.
Yellow dock is another great source of iron, to build red cells. Alcohol extracts shouldn't be used on kitties, but perhaps Susan has some in glycerin or olive oil?
And of course, your love and support are going to do her a world of good!!! - Thank you all!
