And it sucks! How many guineas?? They are so delightful too. Those dammed coyotes. But they are part of the system too. Sadly they are ALSO opportunists to the n'th degree. Try not to hate em for their natural instincts to eat. I still am moved by the howl and yips of coyotes in the distance. So far, lucky for me (and luckier yet for my flock) they have yet to experience a pack of coyotes. They should be further luckier they havent met Mr Weasel either.
I can't fault them Wiley Coyotes for doing what they do best Yet I sure wish it could have been a differnet outcome...like maybe you come out coincidentally toting the fire-blaster in hand and smack a couple of the raiders....fair is fair!
But crapola! My condolences....I hope you can gather the strengh to crank up that incubator and try again. I know how these birds brought you so much joy and delight.
