I would narrow the suspects by looking for loose dog complaints either made to the cops, or to neighbors. Is it possible Lucky was murdered elsewhere and then dumped there? If it was nearby then there is a blood trail for sure. Know anybody with tracking dog?
Somebody knows something/heard something.
post a reward ($5,000) for crucial info leading to arrest and conviction.
I would pay twice that to find a criminal like this...and it is criminal!
If lucky had the fatal wound you described... It has to be at close enough range and, then too, I suspect a handgun.
I smell a rat on the person complaining about dead dog in drive. And if not them what about the jerks that give you problems with the birds? I say a search warrant is in order. And then semi=questionable tactics to interrogate...waterboarding....mock execution...electrodes
