FOOTBALL AT THE MOMENT
HI MATE, I went to the Mighty Blues vs Ipsh*t game and could not believe how poor things have become. I am now 55 and been going down St Andrews from the age of 5 (1963 when my uncle brought me a season ticket for my 5th birthday) first of all we had to wait for the grandson, his mom dropped him at his dads at 2-15. We said its going to be a rush getting there for the kick off as we will hit the traffic. Well the roads were clear (not a good sign)and we got to the ground and parked up at 2-45. We walked up to the ground from the ibis hotel and into our seats and did not spot any faces we knew. The attendance figure was 14,000 plus, my estimate was there was about 8 to 9,000 there. they automatticaly count the 9,000 season ticket holders whether they turn up or not there was no singing the atmosphere was dead the football was dire and ipsh*t were just as poor as we were. I said it was just like watching a pre season friendly after the game we popped into the ibis for a drink as we always do to let the traffic go there was not a soul in there normally there is a good crew of us watching the results on the telly and talking about the game. I got home so disappointed I was a bit depressed to be honest and never in fifty years have I ever felt depressed after watching The Mighty Blues at St Andrews or away no matter what the result or who we have lost to. To be honest mate they are charging £30 a ticket today and I just for the first time ever am getting worried about the future of my BELOVED BLUES and the future of the game. KRO
