There are a number of reasons why and one of them is the so called interpretation of the rules
In yesterday's Liverpool game Suarez clearly handled the ball before scoring.
The referee allowed the goal because the handball was not itentional.
Even Gordon Strachen appeared to agree with the decision.
But if Suarez had not handled the ball he would not have scored.
Is it me?
It was handball for gods sake.
I don't understand how anyone can say it was a legimate goal.
I have never seen a goal given under those circumstances and if that it the way football is going then we may as well call it something else.
It is not football as I know it or understand it to be.
Similar to the current offside rule where a striker can stand in front of the goalkeeper in an offside position but not deemed to be interferring if he does not touch the ball.
The fact that the keeper cannot see around him doesn't seem to matter.
The game is fast losing credibilty.
