I am going to be planting some new trees soon. A weeping cherry is amoung the contenders! As is Magnolia, Amur Maple, Trident Maple.
I want, or should I say need, trees aroudn my house, but do not want more 80 foot ones! Just somethign that will only get max. 40 feet.
That is really nice!!!!! And I love the color.

What is that tall building in the background? Do you live right in the heart of the city?
Your tree is beautiful!! I was so glad to see my magnolia tree bloom again this year after it didn't last year (for the first time since I planted it). I lent my son my camera so haven't been able to take any pictures here but have been savoring the blooms! I wish they lasted longer.

and there is another one going up to the left of it which is right behind me. There goes all my privacy and the sun for my garden.
The buildings are 31 and 28 storey and are to the east of me so they block the sun until about noon hour and that's where the people that moved out dumped the cats.
I was on the outskirts of Toronto in the suburbs but the city is moving north and now my area is full of these 'condos' that are so popular.

....for privacy and the sun issues - not only sunlight coming into your house but the amount of sun all your plants, trees, shrubs, etc. will get. Do people buy these condos or rent them?
Does your DH still talk about selling and moving?
