Thank you for your post. I will do whatever I can to help out. Perhaps a message board like this one or some kind of website focusing on Long Island's drug epidemic.

Yes, sadly, I have seen with my own eyes the way drugs - specifically heroin - has risen in popularity in Massapequa. It is strange because we always assume it's going to be in Wyandanch and Brentwood and places like that. Not in middle to upper-middle class neighborhoods. But it's there and I am glad Newsday is finally getting on top of it to get people to see it.

We can just start some kind of message board or information website pointing people towards where the help is at. From basic NA meetings to full blown live-in rehabs.

Perhaps getting people to write to Rep. Peter King. His office is in Massapequa Park.
