In the lower 48, cops will draw on you quick if your attitude is aggressive. Call a cop a name or be a smart ass, you're on the ground in hand cuffs. Answer yes Sir or no Sir with a pleasant tone and they shouldn't feel threatened or insulted.
Bottom line most Cops are just doing their jobs and if they are messing with you, YOU deserve to be messed with.
