It is not just that the wind blows out or that many more HRs are hit due to the thinner air. The biggest impact is what that environment (thin air) does to the breaking stuff of opposing pitchers, resulting in inflated batting averages. But you are right, playing more than half of his games in that park is a huge advantage to Hopkins.
