You are exactly right about past players, in fact, I think there might be more players that could have gone to the next level than there are that actually went. It is amazing how a respectable D1 program can be run by personal feelings towards players for so long. Western has had chances to go far into the NCAA's, especially during Bicondoa's (Buy-a-condo) final year, when he was unstoppable!! There were probably a good 5 or 6 potential professional baseball players just on that team alone, whether it be independent or an affiliated team.
