We got what we deserved last night - simple.
Until the Premier League and the FA change their policy on the amount of overseas players allowed in a team squad then things will not improve.
We need more English players playing more regular English Top Flight Football if we are to improve as a footballing nation in the mid to long term future.
McLarens fate was sealed before KO when he named a starting eleven with A) Scott Carson & B) No Beckham.
Beckham had an hour in him and should have started.
David James has been the most consistant keeper for the last two years, why was he not picked for the starting 11?
One up front at Home in a do or die game - Whats all that about?
