Raff. I was there last night and yes we played nice football and really could have won. They will point to two glorious chances in first half from dead ball situations but after that got back into game due to us giving ball away and from another set piece. They then had chances when we were down to nine men. We had to work harder to create chances by playing decent football but we did that early doors and again at start of 2nd half when Kinder had 2 good chances and again in the last 15 minutes of normal time after Tom had been sent off. Tom i thought was unlucky to go as his 1st booking was for a nothing challenge but then deserved 2nd yellow (which should have been his 1st). As for Dally, he was sucked into a running battle with their wingy number 9 and on this occasion, he came out second best. On numerous occasions Liam told him to calm down and that we couldn't afford another player off but Dally let his head rule and inevitably he went for a poor challenge. How they were so few bookings for them is beyond me, based on the bookings we picked up and the old problem of are they refs assistants or linesman raised itself. One linesman was aiding his ref but the other appeared to have a problem using a flag and seem intent on only having a running battle with Liam. All in all i don't think either side was so far ahead to deserve a victory but it was a shame we lost after losing 2 players and battling so hard. Special praise i think needs to be aimed at Ben who was a constant thorn in their defence and every ball was fought for.
