Posted by Glennwatkin BEDWORTH United manager Martin Sockett will warn his players to ignore the league table when they travel to Malvern tomorrow. The Worcestershire Club are rooted at the foot of the British Gas Solutions Midland Division without a single point from their first five games. But the Greenbacks' team boss will treat them with every respect. He said: "Where they are in the table doesn't mean a thing and I am preparing for a tough game. "They may be bottom, but three points will lift them up seven places and, by all accounts, they are not playing that badly." United go into the game on a high after their superb 2-1 win over Eastwood Town in the FA Cup at the Oval last Saturday. Sockett could hardly conceal his delight at the way his young side performed: "We were pretty good in the second half, but we don't want tomorrow to be a case of 'after the Lord Mayor's Show," he said. "I will impress on my players that we have to start all over again and go through the same processes as we did last Saturday. "We have to start from scratch and put the FA Cup game behind us because that is over and done with now and we have to look ahead." Sockett is hoping to have a new management structure in place early next week following the departures of assistant manager Carl Adams and Youth Team boss John Scott. They have left the Oval to take charge at Coleshill Town, but there has been no shortage of people wanting to take over. The Greenbacks' manager has been in touch with 15 people, some of whom he approached and others who contacted him. "We whittled that down to six and now we have what you can call a short list of three to choose from." He intends to appoint two coaches to work with him: "I hope to make an announcement early next week so that they can meet the lads on Tuesday," he said.
