From William Maitland's "The History and Survey of London From Its Evolution to the Present Time"
An interesting and highly detailed large format copper engraved map of London. The 10 mile area depicted is now of course mostly part of Greater London, covering from southwards to beyond Croydon, northwards to beyond Enfield, westwards to Twickenham and eastwards to beyond Barking.
A fine example of this scarce and desirable map. Foldlines as issued with two short marginal tears (repaired). The hand laid paper is robust and stable.
Approx. 12" x 10" (300mm x 270mm) printed area only, with good margins beyond. Please scroll right down for close up images.
