Been a fan of the OE since I won an album from KDAY in L.A. back in '72. Love the sound of the Hammond B3. Have really gotten into it since moving to NYC. (In the last two years, I've seen the late Jimmy McGriff, Dr. Lonnie Smith and Joey DeFrancesco). Here's my question, Brian Auger--did you "learn" to play piano and then the B3...or did you just sit down and it just came to you? I bought your instructional DVD. WOW. It's as if you just let your fingers go and they somehow just play on their own. Can what you do be learned...or is it God given? Hope to see you when you play NYC again in '09. BTW--I took piano lessons when I was 9, but I had an old bag for a teacher and she turned me off. Wound up playing the drums instead.
