Brian and company, Many thanks for your gig last Sunday night at the Magic Bag. Just to follow-up on some of the remarks posted by Mr. Dan Caveney (who, by the way, was supposed to buy me a beer at the show and never did. True, Dan and I have never met but you would have thought he could have just bought a round for the house to eliminate any chance of some oversight due to a minor detail like that). At any rate I,d just like to follow up on some of his comments to illustrate a point (even though most of my illustrating is usually done with a box of Crayolas and a color-by-number book). I got in line for your show at 6:20 pm for a show whose doors were'nt scheduled to open until 8:00 and I certainly was'nt the only one doing this (at least not for very long). I agree with Dan that a Sunday night show might have cut down some on the crowd but it still wasn't a bad turn-out and the ones of us lucky enough to be there certainly appreciated every single note of it. The point is that your detroit fans sure hope we don't have to wait another 3 1/2 years between a local club gig (yes I know you were here last summer for an outdoor festival in Trenton but an outdoor show in the afternoon certainly doesn't even come close to hearing you guys at a nice intimate club with decent sound quality. Please try to make the Magic Bag (or any one of a number of other decent Detroit clubs) an annual stop if at all possible.
