Posted by AndyCelleyMusic.com Chan's was the 3rd time I'd met Brian and the 2nd time I met Karma and Savannah, your current family line up..Like the family Trapeze Acts of Old.. one rarely sees a family act these days...so, this amusing thought came to mind..."The Flying Auger's" ...Ha ! Very appropriate as your music and showmanship is always flying..always fresh...and always exciting!! It's obvious you have extremely high standards and dedication to professionalism...and love of the music. You guys are a very, very unique act..PLUS.. you're all so personable, friendly, charming, and humorous...a very warm and spiritual class act.. I have been a fan of Brian's keyboard playing and song writing since the early 70's. I was playing B3 and Electric Piano, doing pop music & studying Winwood, Jimmy Smith, Chick & Herbie, but when I bought my 1st Brian Auger record..it was all over !! I put the others aside... Brian jazzed me more than anyone else..Loved the song writing, the lyrics, the playing.. and the excitement!! ..and.. you just keep getting better !! I brought David Maxwell with me to see you guys. David LOVED you guys !! nteresting note: I have purchased the entire "Brian Auger Audio catalog" twice !! (Records then CD's) So I am familiar with all your released music. So, in my opinion, as a Fan,.. Brian's recording and live performance career has been about Brian's playing, writing and Band Leadership, even though he's worked with tons of musicians to achieve that. Now that those layers have been peeled back, reflecting the simple ensemble of Keys, Bass, Drums & Vocals... it makes Brian work harder.. and that's what's so much fun to watch !! Savannah...excellent singing, intonation & interpretation of her father's tunes (plus the tunes she's done on your own), shows a very experienced musician. Intonation is perfect.. soulfulness as that of a person much older entity..BUT.. her stage presence is so, so, important to the act... it adds that "delicious" feminine touch..."dig a little deeper" as she says...and I have.. and that's why I love "The Oblivion Express" Good Luck with the rest of your tour this year. Stay happy, healthy and humorous, as you are. i wish you all the best. Let's see more of you in Boston next year !!! AndyCelleyMusic.com

Brian, Karma, Savannah & Ernest: Really Love you guys !!!
showering us with the "Fairy Dust" of those delightful tinkling's.
.. and an inspiration to us all.. as I feel when ever I see you..
In my opinion..David is probably THE greatest living Blues Piano player in the USA. (Freddie King, Bonnie Raitt, James Cotton, Otis Rush, Buddy Guy, Hubert Sumlin, Jimmy Rodgers, Charley Musselwhite, Johnny Adams and Ronnie Earl; and gigs with Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Levon Helm, Jimmy Witherspoon, Lowell Fulsom, Junior Wells and many others.) www.DavidMaxwell.com
The BEST RECORD of ALL.. is.. 'LIVE AT THE BAKED POTATO"
because it's "THE BEST BAND Brian EVER HAD !!
(It also shows how really good the songs are!)
Karma is a very talented, excellent, and exciting drummer and musician in his own right. Karma did a fantastic job mixing and producing the live album plus other projects... and
