A: PLAY = PREY
The more enraged you make the dog, the harder they are on equipment. We have a great deal of equipment failure because of this.
To physically hold back and enraged 100 pound dog, is damn near impossible for me, and I ain't a little fella. To hold back a playful 100 pound dog, any 100 pound Lady can do that.
When one of us finds an exceptionally well made piece of equipment, we make sure to spread the word.
I make the mass majority of my own. Back in the day, there was no way of finding such things to purchase. Nor did I have any money as a kid.
I recently found some photos of my old sleeve. I do own one, although it has not been used in years. If anyone wishes to use it to catch a pissed off Bulldog, I am willing to bet money that they won't do it twice.
It may protect you from holes, but your arm will be raw, and you will feel EVERY ounce of pressure, in the pissed off dog's jaws. I think this is why early on, we learned to get creative and teach them without giving bites.
