This is a desperate shot in the dark.
Have a John Bailey b. 1800-1810 in Ga. Was in Houston County, Ga. late 1820s and Randolph County, Ga. late 1830s. Disappeared after 1840 Randolph census.
Son of Philip Bailey b. 1760-1770.
Philip had daughter Lovecey (spelled several ways) who was born ca. 1793 according to census info. No record of Philip or Lovecey in NC.
Philip's other known children are Bryant b. 1806 and Thomas b. 1810-1810.
Bryant migrated to Winn Parish, La. ca. 1857. Lovecey married first Joseph Wood who died before 1830 and then William Castleberry. She was in Clay County, Fla. for 1850 census.
Any chance your John related to my family.
