Are they sure that's where they parked it?
I was telling some friends over the weekend that I'm selling my 2-horse if they knew anyone looking. And they started laughing. It seems that a new client of theirs had reported her trailer stolen, received the settlement check from the insurance company, and bought a new trailer. Shortly afterward, a former co-worker called her to ask when she was going to pick up her trailer. Apparently she moved the horse to my trainer friend's, then had a family emergency, parked it at her former place of employment (she's retired), dealth with the emergency, went to pick up the trailer from the former boarding facility who told her it wasn't there. (A few months had passed since she parked it.) She reported it stolen, having completely forgotten where she parked it. Now she has to repay the insurance company, who has title to it.
No, I am not smarter than a 5th grader, but occasionally I am smarter than a 1st grader.
