Hopefully no one here is, but if you know someone with a missing dog....there was a good sized yellow Lab laying between 15-30 feet off the road today, on the right side heading toward Manteca.
It looked like it had a collar on but traffic was traveling way too fast and too many cars behind me to stop or pull over safely. Saw the dog around 12:45 this afternoon.
The closest landmark I could find was an Eddie's (Freddie's?) Fruit & Food stand and a railroad track just past where I saw the dog lying. I'm guessing maybe a mile or two before Jack Tone Road.
I filed a report with CHP but as of this afternoon he/she had not been picked up yet. I also posted a note in the lost & found for Stockton area Craigslist, and one owner with a missing dog called to say that CHP told her they had the report but hadn't picked it up. She wasn't sure they would....
She's going back out tomorrow to look for him.
