Hey Everyone-Please read this. The fact that CCAS couldn't locate this horse yesterday is somewhat suspicious to me. I posted it yesterday on the BB, but my suspicion led me to posting it here on Stolen/Lost.
Yesterday I took the train to Sacramento and back. On the way back I was observing the acres and acres of land used for storage of utility vehicles, chunks of concrete, motors, broken down this and thats. Suddenly to my utter surprise and sadness, right in the middle of this no-people wasteland, was a horse in a small muddy paddock, maybe 40x40. From as far away as I was and how fast we were going I couldn't tell much. Am going to call the Humane Society today. I don't know if for sure this is a neglect case or not, but it certainly was sad! If any of you know Richmond, well, the part I'm talking about is close to the refinery. NOBODY, I say NOBODY in sight. Any N.California train riders ever see this? Any comments, feedback? I was able to get a name off a storage building for some kind of address point.
LATER____
Contra Costa Animal Services went out yesterday to try to locate the horse, which we figure is somewhere along Giant Road, N. of Parr Rd, on the E. side. No luck. Anyone live close to there? I am discouraged, but the image of this horse standing there in the middle of nowhere is imbedded in my brain. Any info, anyone?
