Who had railroad ties for trade?

Looking at using railroad ties for a base for the round pen. Hubby found some that are grade 1, class B @ $15 each. Seems a little high but does it make a huge difference for the grade 1/class B?

We are in Sebastopol, near Santa Rosa - Sonoma County. So I guess we have to look into travel costs. Looking for 50-75.
