Walking trails that allow dogs in San Joaquin & Stanislaus Counties??

Any suggestions? I live in Manteca...would love to take my dog out on "hikes" more often...we're tired of doing our walking in the "concrete jungle" lol
The closer to home the better...just not sure what sort of walking trails/ parks are in the area??
Is Woodward Reservoir a good option? Anywhere else??
Thanks!
Re: Tuolumne County is not far and you can hike with your dog
off leash in the area of Peoria Flat and the Red Hills. Or you can ride your horse in either place and have your dog run along side you. I had my pony free running all saddled up the last time I went to Peoria and she was a kick to ride with. Stayed right with us and kept up. Had her all tacked out with her bridle and saddle on with a lead rope attached to her saddle horn. Nice places to ride or walk your dog. (this was at Peoria Flat)About 1 hour from Manteca if that much.
