Chocolate to a chocolate, the sire's owner told my parents AFTER they bred that if they threw a yellow to put it down because a yellow out of two chocolates was undesireable. Said you could take it to the vet, but that's expensive and they're so little at that point you could just hold it's head under ice water or put it in the freezer and it would just go to sleep. My parents were appalled but the deed was already done.
We got one little yellow out of that litter of 13 and sold him without papers. The person who got him said he was the best dog he'd ever had.
Obviously never worked with that sire's owner again..
