There is the non-sedation cleaning....I've never tried it but my brother was pretty impressed by it for one of his labs....worth a try he said.
There are water additives and such but that kind of stuff scares me as far as what it does to the rest of their system....a couple of my little one's are sensitive.
So we just use doggie toothpaste and I use a finger brush (the one that slips on a finger as opposed to an actual dog-toothbrush with handle, etc.)...they didn't like the mint flavor but do love chicken.
