Hi Norris,
of the most important landmarks in Avon,
and it is danger because it sits on a
parcel of about 10 acres which is coveted
for a housing development. Such a
development could be accomplished without
demolishing Stone Eagle Farm, but the
Planning Commission has been doing nothing
to stop such demolitions, probably because
when the plans are presented to them,
historic structures are not shown.
Planning Commission needs some guidelines
established by ordinance for dealing with
historic structures. One obvious
guideline is that historic structures
be shown on drawings and applications
for development.
